A Paycheck Is Only the Start

I spent 35 years in financial services. I have seen people with good incomes lose their footing, and people with modest incomes build real security. The difference was rarely the size of the paycheck.

It was what they knew to do with it.

Most of us learned about money at home. Someone showed us how to open an account, explained a credit score or warned us about a loan that looked too easy. A young adult leaving foster care often has no one to do that.

That is why money management is part of every track at Prime Village™. Our Villagers will learn to read a pay stub, build a budget that covers rent first, open and manage a bank account, understand credit and set money aside, even a little at a time.

These are practical skills. They decide whether a first job becomes a stable life or a hard month ends in an eviction.

A certificate opens the door to a job. Knowing how to manage what you earn is what keeps the door open.
